    Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, Inc, seeks an Outside Sales Representative.  Reporting to the Sales Manager, this person is responsible for coordinating sales of our hollow structural sections and piling products in Midwest, US.  Primary responsibilities include the identification and generation of sales leads, proposal coordination, customer contact and sales closure for the assigned region. This includes identifying, screening and qualifying new business opportunities to maximize value proposition and coordinate the follow through needed to close new business.  



    1. Through market research, cold calls, customer contact and other means, identifies the sales opportunities for assigned region/product line.
    2. Prepares periodic reports and regularly updates database showing sales volume, potential sales and status of active pursuits.
    3. Develops sales plans and strategy for active and potential pursuits.
    4. Establishes close customer contact to determine customer needs, and position the Company to satisfy those needs.
    5. Assists in proposal development by identifying proposal themes and “selling points”, and preparing various components such as executive summaries.
    6. Represents the Company at industry trade shows and exhibitions.
    7. Gives customer presentations.
    8. Recommends product enhancements or changes based upon market feedback and increased sales potential.
    9. Monitors the competition and reports actions and trends to management.
    10. Responsible for special projects as assigned.
    11. Entertains and develops relationships on an ongoing basis.
    12. Negotiate contracts and value packages to insure a return on resources invested.
    13. Manages strategic relationships, cultivates new alliances and monitors competitive activity.
    14. Becomes involved in industry trade associations.



    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, College Diploma or the equivalent experience.
    • 7+ years of directly related business and/or sales experience required.
    • Articulate, energetic, and personable.
    • Team player.
    • Frequent travel required.
