    Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a Production coordinator to oversee the overall effectiveness and efficiency involved in the production of modular units.  Reporting to the Plant Manager, Production coordinator is responsible for the coordination of planning, scheduling, executing and directing production activities related to the overall construction processes within ERP system (SAP). Frequent communication with production, in addition to purchasing, stockroom, and leadership teams will be required.  The Production coordinator will work with the Production Managers and be assigned tasks set by them as needed.



    • Create part number for finished modules based on project & room configuration based on project defined conventions.
    • Create bill of materials by modular type.
    • Make corrections to bill of materials as engineering changes occur.
    • Create the work orders in SAP along with the batch numbers per modular build.
    • Releasing work orders to the floor Assist.
    • Printing out the work order forms & communicating open orders.
    • Potentially entering/keying in missing or incorrect labor times per laborer.
    • Manage the operations that are left on the work orders/final confirming completed within Kronos dashboard.
    • Assist with confirming hours are properly charged to work order/make correction as needed.
    • Close work orders in system.
    • Communicate to storeroom/inventory coordinator parts needed by operation for upcoming modular builds.
    • Working with Production Supervisor as needed.
    • Collaborate with IT & business leadership on ways to improve the system to be an effective & efficient tool by offering visionary ideas.
    • Other duties as assignment by management.

    Job Requirements

    Specific qualifications for the Production coordinator role include:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Must have a minimum of two years of commercial construction experience
    • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
    • General understanding of ERP systems & their effect on business
    • Knowledge of SAP and Kronos
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Ability to work in a manufacturing construction environment utilizing degree in respective discipline
