    An immediate full-time position is available for a Coordinator/Document Controller with experience in construction operations for residential building design. This position requires the candidate to report to Project Managers and the Director of Design and follow a standard document control SOP. The candidate must be skilled with a construction administration system, such as ProCore, and to submit and track RFIs and Shop Drawings during the design stage within the Design Department of Z Modular.

     

    The ideal candidate will have an interest in modular construction, automated fabrication systems, parametric design software, and developing alternative approaches to the design and construction industry. This position requires the candidate to be very organized with great people skills; and to understand design-build processes with a superior attention to detail.

     

    Must-have Qualifications & Skills:

    • Experience:  3-5 years in construction coordination operations
    • Diploma/Degree:  Construction Management, Engineering/Architecture or PMP
    • Management:  ProCore, or similar construction admin systems
    • Communication:  Liaison with Project Managers and Designers
    • Construction:  Knowledge of contract management and administration procedures
    • Software:  Skilled at ProCore (or other), Excel, Word, Acrobat, MS Project with basic Revit
    • Detailing:  Experience reading construction drawings, shop drawings & details
    • Code:  Knowledge of applicable laws and codes
    • Trades:  Understanding of construction sequences and needs of various trades

     

    Duties & Responsibilities:

     

    The candidate will oversee the Document Control SOP for the Design Department:

    • Administration:  Manage ProCore-based document control, RFI/shop drawings & scheduling
    • PM:  Assist PM with project budgets and schedules
    • Coordinate:  Work with PMs and Designer to ensure milestones are met
    • Office work:  Prepare modular package release schedules and reports
    • Estimating:  Take-off/estimating skills are an asset
    • Drawing:  release Track reviews and release drawings for fabrication
    • Close-out:  Manage close-out procedures internal to design: as-builts, manuals, warranties
