Job Description

Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman, seeks an Inside Sales Representative. The Inside Sales Representative is detail oriented and displays strong organizational, and interpersonal skills to manage the complex and multifaceted profile of customer accounts.  Sales and Marketing skills are utilized to provide seamless customer service from inquiry to invoice to help the organization achieve our sales and marketing goals. Primary responsibilities include customer contact in person and via phone and data tools. This position will manage the day-to-day customer service functions.



  • Project professionalism in representing the organization, internally and externally
  • Proactively selling our organizations products and services
  • Comply with unique customer requests, to establish strong partnering relationships
  • Develop and maintain effective internal interdepartmental relationships
  • Complete understanding of Atlas’ capabilities and internal requirements to ensure operating efficiencies are maintained
  • Coordination of quoting and development of inquiries for professional and timely response to customer(s)
  • Process customer orders accurately from entry through invoicing
  • Communication of customer’s requirements through manufacturing process and shipment
  • Detailed account management; responsible for maintaining customer records
  • Monitor aged allocated inventory; ongoing review with customers
  • Analysis and resolution of customer complaints
  • Develops meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty.
  • Assists in proposal development and presentation by identifying proposal themes and “selling points”, and preparing various components such as executive summaries.
  • Recommends product enhancements or changes based upon market feedback and increased sales potential.
  • Monitors the competition and reports actions and trends to management.
  • Develops relationships on an ongoing basis.


  • Post-secondary degree/diploma required for new hires. Studies in business or marketing.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks amid dynamic timelines
  • Decisiveness and analytical problem solving skills
  • Technological proficiency – Microsoft Office, business systems, mobile platforms
  • Effective performance in a team environment
  • Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy 
  • Travel requirements – up to 7 nights a year for training and customers visits.
