Job Description

Job Summary

Represents the organization externally interacting with prospective and established customers to sell the organizations's steel products and services to build strong partnerships and achieve sales targets. Coordinates complex and multifaceted profiles of customer accounts. Identifies and improves sales opportunities.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
  • Monitors client accounts and organizes and maintains customer records. Proofreads order entries for accuracy to eliminate product, price and freight errors.
  • Obtains customer shipping releases and communicates with production and shipping teams to identify ready materials and assist with building loads.
  • Receives quotes and assists with the incoterms and pricing reviews.
  • Serves as an inbound phone back-up to Inside Sales Representatives.
  • Occasional travel to customer locations to assist team members.
  • Performs other duties as they might be assigned.
  • Regular and predictable, full-time, on-site attendance during scheduled hours.

Education / Experience

  • High School diploma; or Bachelor’s degree – preferably in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics or similar relevant field
  • Some customer service / inside sales experience, preferably in steel industry

Knowledge / Skills / Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of Atlas’ capabilities and internal requirements to maintain operating efficiencies preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, business systems and mobile platforms
  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Strong customer service and sales skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Goal oriented and team player able to prioritize and completes multiple tasks in a timely manner
  • Professional conflict resolution and problems solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks amid dynamic timelines
  • Decisiveness and problem solving skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain internal relations with hiring managers, technical and manufacturing personnel
