Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a VP, Acquisitions. Reporting to the President, the VP Acquisitions is a key leader in the organization’s strategic growth plan. This leader is responsible for sourcing, due diligence and execution of all acquisitions and dispositions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning for development of multi-family projects, including investment analysis, pro-forma modeling, investment strategies and public grants, public incentives, and tax credits
• Full P&L responsibility for project planning, permitting, entitlements, third party reports, site capacity studies, market and financial analysis, and construction to develop or redevelop real estate
• Responsible for the creation and executive of pre-construction timeline
• Identification, feasibility analysis and negotiation of real estate acquisitions and potential development sites
• Lead initiatives and engagement with city officials, attorneys, architects, engineers, and others to outline projects related to public entitlement, site permits, acquisition due diligence and closing activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated ability across all phases of multi-family developments – zoning and entitlements, design overview, construction management, financing, asset management, investment sales and manufacturing operations
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience preferably within the multifamily industry in a broad array of development skills including public finance and incentives, permitting, design, construction, finance and leasing
• Must possess strong financial skills and demonstrated ability to analyze and implement complex financial models and evaluation of corresponding risks
• Highly effective communication and presentation skills along with robust interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence and political acumen
• An exceptional capacity for managing, developing and leading people
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining strong attention to detail
