Job Description

The responsibilities of this position involve managing and growing business directly through an independent sales force. Assume the lead commercial role to identify, develop and increase profitable demand while maintaining current business inside a geographical region. This includes identifying, screening, and qualifying new business opportunities to maximize value proposition and coordinate the follow through needed to close new business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement global product, pricing and market strategies to achieve forecasted revenue goals
  • Develop, execute and manage sales and sales budgets
  • Manages distribution to achieve the desired revenue goals
  • Identify new strategic account targets based on the company value proposition and support capabilities and then develop these account relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and value packages to insure a return on resources invested.
  • Establish individual performance standards, goals and objectives then measures and provides feedback
  • Manages expenses and reports in a timely fashion
  • Manages strategic relationships, cultivates new alliances and monitors competitive activity
  • Communicates regularly and broadly to the team
  • Becomes involved in industry trade associations
  • Responsible for special projects as assigned

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree – Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years of outside sales experience

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

  • Articulate, energetic, personable, and a collaborative team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate and enhance sales performance.
  • Travel Commitment: Extensive travel required, including weekly client visits and 6-12 nights of overnight travel per month, as necessary.
