Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

 

Manages and oversees day-to-day operations of Inside Sales team. Provides regular professional development opportunities for the inside sales staff, motivates sales staff to achieve sales targets, and develops an effective step-by-step process of nurturing leads and closing sales.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
  • Coaches, trains, evaluates, and monitors sales representatives’ performance.
  • Builds an open-communication culture inside the team.
  • Sets and tracks sales targets and KPIs.
  • Coordinates sales projects to meet deadlines.
  • Executes sales analysis, prepares sales reports and suggests improvements.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
  • Uses customer feedback to generate ideas about new features or products.
  • Researches and discovers methods to increase customer engagement.
  • Monitors implementation of sales, finance and legal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Hires, coaches, develops, monitors, and evaluates performance of staff.
    • Trains sales representatives and new hires on products, techniques, and closing sales.
    • Reviews and recommends personnel actions for approval.
  • Travels to customer locations for follow-up, presentations, or demonstrations.
  • Performs other duties as they might be assigned.
  • Regular and predictable, full-time, on-site attendance during scheduled hours.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics or similar relevant field, MBA preferred
  • 7+ year experience as an Inside sales Manager, preferably in steel industry. Prior experience with tubing or industrial sales preferred

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

  • Working knowledge of Wheatland Tube’ capabilities and internal requirements to maintain operating efficiencies preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Word)
  • In-depth understanding of the sales process
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate a team
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication and team management skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
