Job Description

 

Zekelman Industries is seeking a Midwest Regional Sales Manager. This candidate will manage and grow business directly and through managing an independent sales force.  Take the lead commercial role to identify, develop and increase profitable demand while maintaining current business inside a geographical region.  This includes identifying, screening and qualifying new business opportunities to maximize value proposition and coordinate the follow through needed to close new business.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement global product, pricing and market strategies to achieve forecasted revenue goals.
  • Develop, execute and manage sales and sales budgets.
  • Manages distribution to achieve the desired revenue goals.
  • Identify new strategic account targets based on the company value proposition and support capabilities and then develop these account relationships.
  • Negotiate contracts and value packages to insure a return on resources invested.
  • Establish individual performance standards, goals and objectives then measures and provides feedback. Manages expenses and reports in a timely fashion.
  • Manages strategic relationships, cultivates new alliances and monitors competitive activity.
  • Communicates regularly and broadly to the team.
  • Becomes involved in industry trade associations.
  • Responsible for special projects as assigned.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required with 7+ years of previous experience.
  • Able to: Read, analyze, and interpret technical, financial, and legal documents.
  • Responds to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Effectively interacts with all organizational levels.
  • Must have excellent:
  • Math and reasoning skills.
  • Organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

 

Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy
