Job Description

       JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Customer Experience & Process, the Automated Inventory Analyst will be responsible for the data management, monitoring errors, and reporting to supporting the organization’s Automated Inventory Management (AIM) program. The AIM Analyst is responsible for ensuring the customer data is properly maintained and highlight to the AIM Manager when tolerances require attention.

       JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Data Management/Administration: Administer and maintain data critical to the AIM process. This includes set up of data for new AIM accounts, identifying errors related to the AIM settings/tolerance, addressing data updates/modifications, error handling when issues arise and coordinating with area experts to resolve the issues as quickly as possible.
    • Process Analysis and documentation: Work the AIM Manager to ensure all automated process are running as designed. Identify any errors or opportunities that should be addressed based on impact to the AIM process. 
    • Support: Offer ongoing support to troubleshoot issues and test new functionality to enhance AIM to support the optimization of the AIM program. Support the sales team requests to review what can be repurposed to other orders from AIM reserves to move material. Assist with managing an AIM account as per the discretion of the AIM Manager.
    • Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate and analyze data that support the improvement and effectiveness of the AIM program.  Review AIM consumption vs what is planned and adjust to ensure the proper balance of supply.  Highlight insights and recommendations for further improvements based on data analysis. The analyst will also play role in documenting requirements and user needs for new features. 
    • Continuous Improvement: support the Agent Replenishment process to ensure material is replenishing at the proper cadence to fulfill orders from agent sites. Monitor the performance of the AIM tools and processes, identifying opportunities for refinement. Support the Implementation of enhancements and optimizations to improve overall workflow efficiency. Proactively address problems or challenges as a result of process breakdown or system gaps with guidance from the AIM Inventory manager
    • Collaboration: Collaborate with AIM Inventory Manager and IT working on enhancements between AIM tools and business processes. This position will work cross-functionally with various teams and play a role in testing new features/functionality within the various AIM portfolio.

       EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in business or related work experience that provides key exposure to desired skills or applicable work experience with process.
    • Prior knowledge and experience in manufacturing, steel or steel using industries preferred.

       KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

    • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams with proven ability to establish and maintain strong, positive relationships with commercial and operations teams.
    • Proficient with common programs (such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel), RPA technology (Robotic Process Automation).
    • Experience with EDI and SAP (ECC/APO).
    • Possess strong organizational skills, customer focused, ability work creatively and analytically to solve day-in and day-out problems. Time management, critical thinking and problem solving skills are necessary.
    • The ideal candidate will have strong data, analytical and technical background, a keen eye for process improvement, and the ability to bridge the gap between technology and processes and translate data into actionable insights.
