Hayes Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking an Industrial Engineer Intern to join our team.
This exciting role offers the unique opportunity to travel and work alongside the Hayes Modular Installation team, which leads the assembly and stacking of modular units for groundbreaking projects. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will gain hands-on process improvement experience and direct exposure to modular installation at various sites across the United States, with a primary focus on Arizona and Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluates site processes (e.g., time studies) to identify opportunities for process improvements and report findings to management.
Improves and maintain documentation of processes and procedures, including creating and updating routings, work instructions, and blueprints to ensure cost-effective compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes samples to set labor utilization standards.
Analyzes workforce, site layouts, and operational data, preparing and evaluating reports in Excel to enhance decision-making.
Assists with supply chain and inventory control systems.
Conduct resource allocation studies.
Leads or assists in continuous improvement projects to enhance process flow, productivity, and quality.
Develops and refine equipment and product processes, implementing new methods with input from management.
Collaborates with Production, Quality, and Finance departments to identify root causes of revenue losses.
Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
Performs other duties as they might be assigned.
Regular, full-time predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of this role.
REQUIREMENTS
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, construction management, supply chain, or related field
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility to travel to multiple project sites across the United States
Prior experience in construction or manufacturing, preferred
