Job Description

Maverick Pipe, a partner of Zekelman, is seeking a EHS Coordinator at it's Richmond, KY location. 

 

JOB SUMMARY

Develops, implements and maintains safety programs and practices to ensure a safe and compliant work environment within the manufacturing facility

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy
  • Organizes and conducts safety training sessions for employees, including new hire orientations and ongoing education.
  • Coordinates monthly safety committee meetings.
  • Assists in developing and enforcing safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conducts regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Maintains and updates safety documentation, including OSHA logs, training records, and incident reports.
  • Assists in conducting and coordinating accident investigations as needed.
  • Develops and distributes safety awareness materials, such as posters, newsletters, and digital content.
  • Performs other duties as they might be assigned.
  • Regular and predictable, full-time, on-site attendance during scheduled hours

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred
  • 2 year experience in a safety and training related role within a manufacturing plant

 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

  • Working knowledge of OSHA
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office programs
  • Strong knowledge in safety management software
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to travel to company locations 10% of the time
