Maverick Pipe, a partner of Zekelman, is seeking a Material Handler for it's Rantoul, IL location.  

This position is responsible for working as part of a team in the moving of materials in and out of the facility in a safe, timely and efficient manner focusing on meeting the needs of both internal and external customers 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy. 
• Stages and loads finished goods on to trucks (40%) 
• Issues raw materials to production and support their needs. (20%) 
• Scan finished goods with barcode scanner, verifying all information. (25%) 
• Performs cycle counts. (5%) 
• Assists with various production operations as needed. (15%) 
•  Willing to cross train and work with other team members as needed. 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE 

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
• 2 years' experience driving electric and/or propane forklifts; forklift certification preferred. 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES 

• Forklift experience/certification 
• Scanner/Inventory/Cycle-counts 
• Good problem solving and detail orientation, with the ability to properly transport bundles of diverse size and follow established processes. 
• • Good organization skills, with the ability to handle several instructions at once, and prioritize tasks as needed.
