This position will supervise the shift production crew and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure required production goals are met.   RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supervise production to ensure that production and quality standards are achieved. - Provide technical expertise and training to all areas. - Perform critical production positions as required for training, troubleshooting or absentee coverage. - Ensure that yourself and the Production Team are work safely by following established workplace safety practices. - Work with other area Managers to support the overall team to ensure smooth operation of all areas within the plant. - Review daily operating reports and report operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues and shift events to leads to prevent operational delays. - Troubleshoot operational and tooling problems to improve quality and efficiency. - Build and maintain a positive team-oriented environment amongst production personnel. - Evaluate employee performance objectively based upon the job requirements and behavioral indicators of performance. - Identify areas of improvement in staff and provide corrective action to personnel in coordination with plant management and Human Resources - Obtain immediate medical treatment for all injuries. - Notify appropriate management and enter required events (accidents, injuries, incidents) into EHS. - Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role. - Other duties as assigned.   EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: - University degree, Technical Diploma or equivalent experience in the construction industry is required. - At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or construction facility - Ability to demonstrate thorough understanding of manufacturing and construction processes. Detailed knowledge of the relationship between work centers and how variables at each work center affect other areas. - Basic proficiency in Microsoft office package including Outlook, Word, and Excel - Experience in Shop Floor interfaces such as MES as well as ERP usage such as D365 or Oracle based platforms. - Proven leadership skills - Top-notch communications skills, both verbal and written.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:   - Bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, push and pull. Reporting to the Chassis Build Manager, this candidate will support the 3 facility controls engineers. Full time, physical attendance is required at the facilities.     RESPONSIBILITIES:   In this position, the team member is responsible for but not limited to, assisting in the preparation of creating recipes, troubleshoot PLC and robot issues, operate HMIs and pendants to carefully move robots and railing system to safe positions, make electrical and pneumatic repairs, review weld defects and make changes to weld parameters and positions. In performing these tasks, the team member will be expected to gain technical and practical knowledge in the safe operation of a robotic welding cell in a manufacturing/construction environment. The team member must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, quickly learn new and unfamiliar concepts and tasks, collaborate with other individuals in a constructive and effective manner, and meet strict deadlines and manage competing priorities, with quality of work.
