This position will be reporting directly to the Quality Manager, will primarily be responsible for overseeing the product quality for the designated shift including monitoring of ultrasonic testing, desposition of non-conforming material, and auditing inspection functions. The job may included additional duties as required by the Quality Manager or the Blytheville Management Team.   Inspection - Review and disposition suspect and nonconforming material. - Setup, operate and monitor CNC equipment. - Setup, operate and monitor NDT equipment when orders call for UT testing. - Interpret and communicate specification information to the mills. - Using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers for dimensional analysis - Perform daily audits of production lines to ensure processes are being followed. - Perform Tensile testing as required. - Perform Charpy impact testing as required. - Enter test data into SAP. - Ensure samples are cut for product certification. - Perform analysis of mill fluids utilizing appropriate lab equipment. - Provide relief for mill inspectors for breaks/ lunch. - Generate MTR data for customer shipments as required. This position reports to the production supervisor and plant manager. The slitter recoiler operator is responsible for performing tasks necessary for the production of slit coils that meet the requirements for the mill.   RESPONSIBILITIES:  - Follow workplace safety practices set forth by Atlas Tube Inc. The Mill Operator monitors and records the quality characteristics of finished tubing, communicates specific customer requirements when required, and ensures that tensile samples are collected and properly identified when required.    RESPONSIBILITIES: - Troubleshooting, solving, and communicating problems to mill crew - Communicating quality requirements to mill crew and making sure they are met - Maintaining the offline requirements to ensure quick-change operation - Assist maintenance in making repairs to equipment - Calibration of micrometers at start of shift and at changeovers - Perform all size, gauge, grade, and shape changes online - Direct and assist in changeovers - Performs other tasks as assigned by the Mill Supervisor - Inspects tooling condition at the end of each rolling and communicates the need for reconditioning - This position will also entail the responsibilities of the offline readiness for quick change - The employee is regularly required to stand and walk, use hands, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. - Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull. - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. - Keep work area clean and orderly. - Perform duties in accordance with the company safety policies and report unsafe conditions - The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
