POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Machine Operator II will set up and operate cutoff equipment to produce high-quality steel tubes at a precise length with a minimum amount of burr and/or scarf, and at the highest speed possible. This position will also review and provide quality assurance on the tubing before releasing to the end user. The Cutoff Operator will be responsible for making critical machine adjustment as needed to stay within close tolerances for ovality and straightness of all tubing produced. This position will also have oversite around the scrap rates with their department/mill. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Exhibit advanced proficiency on the responsibilities of a Machine Operator I. • Has the ability to train and fulfill the role of a Machine Operator I. • Ensure machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with (and can produce materials that conform with) company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards. • Operate machines such as cutoff saws, presses, and deburring machines that punch, cut, structure and shape metal tubing. • Ensure that tubes are cut with a minimal amount of burr and scarf. • Make change-over and adjustments to die, rolls, block, blades, and load table. • Reset rolls, switches scrap traps and safety guards. • Fill in where needed. • Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation with other employees and supervisors. • Working knowledge of general shop tools such as welders, cutting torches, grinders, tape measures, andmicrometers • Measure/test characteristics within specifications and tolerances on the production order. • Measure inside diameter gauge thickness, and outside diameter. Checks both ends with plug gauge. • Adjust  machine setups as necessary to cut evenly around the tube with no distortion on the ends. • Perform preventive maintenance to the cutoff machine as well as the sizing section of the mill. • Sufficient communication skills to learn from and train other operators and to interact with other teammembers to achieve an effective operation. • Communicate with various departments to ensure smooth transitions from product completion to truck loading process. • Possess technical skill set to perform changeovers and set up. • Provide support to employees newly assigned to this position. POSITION DESCRIPTION:   The Machine Operator will be classified as Machine Operator I, II, III based on experience and skill set. Perform visual inspection on tubes, removing burrs and ensuring inside/outside surfaces are clean. - Provides quality assurance inspections and provides ideas on changes to ensure end product meets specification. - Visually inspect finished goods for quality defects and reject non-conforming product i.e., scratches, die marks, weld splits, and end cut conditions. - Identify steel shapes, sizes, and mill tolerances. - Prepare / stack / assemble bundles correctly to protect product from damage. - Repacking and banding – repack tubing into bundles, pack, and / or band bundles according to customer requirements. - Work directly with mill operator on set ups. - Supply tube mill machinery with coils of steel. - Help receive and unload incoming material from suppliers. - Offload, hand stack, and package steel tubing manually. - Move material into inventory storage, staging areas, and work areas. - Follow work instructions to produce tubing per customer specifications. This role will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION: Prepares the distribution/processing of materials, products, parts/tools, and/or equipment for shipment: Receives orders/requests from customers and internal employees. Picks, Packs, and Stages the orders and ensures order and items match using scanning tools. Loads shipments on flatbed or LTL truck safely. POSITION DESCRIPTION:   Maintenance technicians will work independently or in conjunction with other technicians to perform maintenance tasks whether preventative, routine, or unpredicted. Technicians will troubleshoot issues with production equipment, overhead cranes, and generally any item within or attached to the facility and ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness of those items is achieved. All tasks performed shall be within the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. POSITION DESCRIPTION:   The Electrician will be involved with the installation, maintenance, and continual improvement of electrical equipment used in all aspects of automation, both electrical and electro-mechanical. The Industrial Electronics Technician is expected to work on every type of system from the simplest electrical systems using fuses and motors, to the most complex electronic systems using sophisticated electronic computer interface boards, motor drives, programmable logic controllers, HMI’s, hydraulic and pneumatic positioners, solid-state devices, and robotics. This position will be reporting directly to the Quality Manager, and will primarily be responsible for overseeing the product quality for the designated shift including monitoring of ultrasonic testing, desposition of non-conforming material, and auditing inspection functions. The job may included additional duties as required by the Quality Manager or the Blytheville Management Team.
