  Do you want to work for a stable, growing organization that reaches back more than 130 years?  Our steel tube and pipe products have helped build landmarks and buildings in North America; Come build your career at Zekelman Industries.   Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a Project Manager to oversee the construction of our modular units.  Reporting to Director of Construction, the Project Manager is responsible for the coordination of construction activities within the modular scope, as well as ensuring frequent progress communication with customers.  The Project Manager plans, directs, or coordinates, usually through supervisory personnel, all activities concerned with the fabrication and maintenance of Z Modular products.   Responsibilities: - Manage Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers and other project staff as a part of the Project Team. - Oversee the organization, scheduling, budgeting and implementation of the project in Collaboration with Plant Manager and Plant Production Manager. - During Pre-Construction period, assist in design and preparation of specification, collaborate with Pre-Construction team, and maintain seamless hand – off between teams. - Prepare schedule of values - Prepare a project plan for approval by management - Prepare and update project schedules with input from project staff and, if required, assistance from the Scheduling Department - Negotiate change orders with client, architects and engineers - Complete all required reports - Assistance and preparation of all subcontracts, purchase orders, requisitions, proposals, etc. - Approve payment of invoices received from vendors and subcontractors - Prepare and help with preparation of set and site activities, to include ship loose materials, site schedules, site subcontracts, staffing plans, mate line and site scope activities and schedules and closeout/turnover. - Ensure that all on-site activities are carried out in strict accordance with Company and Government safety regulations - Attend, in-person and via call in, required OAC and site meetings. - Other duties as assignment by management. - Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy Job Requirements Specific qualifications for the Project Manager role include: - Bachelor’s degree in Building Science or related field preferred. - Must have a minimum of (10) years of commercial construction experience. - Ability to travel to site locations within the US, minimum of once/month up to once/week - Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects and Procore - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment - Strong written and oral communication skills - Strong analytical skills - Ability to work in a manufacturing construction environment utilizing degree in respective discipline  - Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role. - Driving is an essential function of the position. We are looking for a deadline-driven Site Superintendent to oversee our construction project and to act as the link between various project parties. The Site Superintendent will lead and manage the on-site construction team and oversee all work on site. The Site Superintendent will be responsible for orderliness on site and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This candidate will ensure quality standards are met, and all equipment and materials are always available. To ensure success, projects should be completed on time and within budget. Never compromise on quality. Requires high aptitude in regards mechanical ability, troubleshooting and problem solving skills in regard to equipment operation, process conditions in order to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.     RESPONSIBILITIES: - Ensure equipment is maintained mechanically following all of the defined safety procedures and that everyone working on the equipment is following these procedures, including LOTO.  Ensure that all guards and safety equipment is in place and operational before turning the equipment over to the operator. - Responsible to monitor, inspect and complete reports on equipment using manual and computerized maintenance management systems. - Read and interpret information and specifications from blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings in order to repair equipment, machinery, physical structures and systems. - Ability to properly use required hand tools, power tools, hoists cranes, measuring devices and testing equipment. - Initiates troubleshooting techniques to solve quality, process and mechanical problems.  Must be able to properly identify problem areas with consistency and reliability, if unsuccessful in making repairs, must notify supervisor for assistance. - Perform all required mechanical tasks associated with breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance and changeovers on production equipment. - Responsible to insure housekeeping is in audit ready condition after the mechanical task is completed. - Provides guidance co-workers. - Report any safety, quality, operational or output issues that you cannot correct to your supervisor - Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Installs, services and repairs lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets and wiring. - Operates power hand tools and other specialized electrical equipment. - Installs, repairs and services specialized electrical equipment and machinery. - Constructs and maintains service equipment. - Reads electrical circuit diagrams. - Transfers primary power from one power source to another. - Installs conductors, splices cable, builds terminations and does necessary hook-up for primary power lines. - May do other trades work incidental to electrical work. - Monitor all power houses, keep record of safety and Code compliance   QUALIFICATIONS: - Installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of single and three phase power distribution & equipment to 480V, plant lighting, single and multiphase AC and DC motors from fractional to 300HP, AC/DC solid state and conventional motor control, PLCs, DCS, combustion controls, power and control cable and conduit, electrical and electronic instrumentation including devices such as thermocouples, pressure, flow, level and force transducers. - Ability to interpret power and control electrical/electronic schematics, interconnection wiring and control drawings and utilize various electrical and electronic test equipment.
