  Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Controls Specialist-PLC. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position will be based out of our facility in Rochelle,IL.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION: - Evaluate manufacturing processes to improve product quality, process efficiencies and machine reliability. - Research, identify and implement robotics technology for use on the plant floor. - Manage the launch and programming of all robotics utilized within the company. - Create and document training and technical procedures for robotics across the organization. - Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for robotics. - Develop new control systems and modify existing systems. - Work with plant production to evaluate areas for process improvement and then oversee improvement from concept to implementation. - Troubleshoot equipment problems; identify need for new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment to optimize performance and reliability. - Work with mechanical and electrical departments identifying and resolving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems problems. - Design and implement solutions to plant safety and equipment projects. - Maintain records of all plant equipment and their modifications, updating files and AutoCAD drawings to ensure accurate information is on file. - Research new technologies and investigate their integration into plant applications. - Communicate with plant employees to incorporate shop floor user knowledge into design elements. - Lead and promote safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy. - Responsible for special projects as assigned. The operator is responsible for assisting in troubleshooting of equipment, supply with material for recut and must demonstrate understanding of all operations. In addition, the operator is required to perform set-ups. This person will work out of the Chicago, IL facility.   Quality Inspectors are to perform inspection and testing duties to ensure that finished product fulfills all customer specifications and quality requirements. This will be a 2nd shift position (2PM – 10PM).   DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Performs duties in accordance with company safety policies and reports unsafe conditions. - Performs preece test on finished product at every start up and every fifteen minutes thereafter. - Performs inspection and testing activities as defined in QSP7.4 and records test results accurately on a Quality Assurance Report. - Notifies mill personnel when product is out of tolerance and verifies quality after adjustment is made. - Ensures that non-conforming products are identified, recorded, and properly tagged (QA Hold Tag & Rework Tag). - Ensures calibration on a daily basis of test equipment (micrometers and fischerscope). - Informs the on-going quality and departmental issues to the QA Manager/Quality Supervisor. - Perform random quality audits on finished products and report results back to Management. - Responsible for the housekeeping of work area. - Train other employees when assigned by Supervisor. - Perform other duties as assigned. Position skills are used in SAP process design and configuration, SAP design, development, integration, testing and deployment, and/or SAP technical architecture to focus on architecting a solution using SAP to achieve a defined business outcome.   Zekelman Industries is seeking a Senior Process Engineer. Reporting to the VP of Engineering and Technology, this person will be responsible for leading the effort to support and optimize automated systems within our manufacturing operations, initially focused on a newly developed automated warehouse system.  This is a greenfield project where the person chosen for this role will have significant leadership opportunities and input into the development of the Zekelman automation support team. The Senior Process Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to document and support the execution of automation initiatives. Z Modular currently has an opportunity for a Revit Drafter in the Chandler, AZ area. This position would report to the Design Manager. We are looking for someone who is highly detailed-oriented, thorough, and self-motivated. As a Drafter, you will use Revit to produce drawings for a variety of projects.
