Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman, is seeking a Process Engineer Intern for our facility located in Chicago, IL.  Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Process Engineer Intern position will provide support. The intern will learn the essential duties of a process engineer and perform studies related to product and process improvement.    RESPONSIBILITIES: - Primarily assist with analyzing prime net yield in an effort to maximize profitability - Work closely with the Production, Quality and Finance Departments in identifying the root cause(s) for net yield loss at the facility - Prepares excel documents for analysis - Participates in evaluating data - Special projects as assigned - Measure process outputs and determine equipment capacity - Maintain daily documentation of observations - Collect data and perform statistical analysis to determine process effectiveness - Execute experiments to make process improvements - Report findings to the management team - Special projects and duties as assigned               QUALIFICATIONS: - High School diploma or equivalent - Current College student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (chemical, mechanical, material science, metallurgy, or industrial preferred) - A strong team player is necessary with the ability to coordinate efforts of many individuals internal and external to the organization - Sound decision making ability, computational, and analytical skills - Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Z Modular, a division of Zekelman, seeks a Field Services Intern located in Austin, TX. This internship is designed to hire students who will be seeking Project Engineer positions upon graduation. Reporting to the VP of Field Services, assisting Project Engineers and Managers with communications and documentations of our modular units. Helping coordination of construction submittals and request for information documentation within the modular scope, as well as ensuring frequent progress communication with customers.    RESPONSIBILITIES: - Primarily function as data keeper of project specific tasks. Control submittal approvals, RFI management, day to day correspondence. - Create and document meeting minutes and agendas. - Lead material procurement, inventory and confirmation of materials on hand or needed for site apartment completion according to approved submittals. - Assist with, scheduling, budgeting and implementation of the project - Assist with the preparation of the schedule of values - Assist with project planning for approval by management - Preparation of project schedules with input from project staff and, if required, assistance from the Scheduling Department - Assist in completion of daily site reports. - Other duties as assignment by management               QUALIFICATIONS:   - High School diploma or equivalent - Current College student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Building Science/Construction Management preferred - Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment - Strong written and oral communication skills - Strong analytical skills - Ability to work in a manufacturing construction environment utilizing degree in respective discipline - Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
