Wheatland Tube, a divison of Zekelman Industries, is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician in Blytheville, AR. This position will be reporting directly to the Quality Manager, will primarily be responsible for overseeing the product quality for the designated shift including monitoring of ultrasonic testing, desposition of non-conforming material, and auditing inspection functions. The job may included additional duties as required by the Quality Manager or the Blytheville Management Team.   Inspection - Review and disposition suspect and nonconforming material. - Setup, operate and monitor CNC equipment. - Setup, operate and monitor NDT equipment when orders call for UT testing. - Interpret and communicate specification information to the mills. - Using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers for dimensional analysis - Perform daily audits of production lines to ensure processes are being followed. - Perform Tensile testing as required. - Perform Charpy impact testing as required. - Enter test data into SAP. - Ensure samples are cut for product certification. - Perform analysis of mill fluids utilizing appropriate lab equipment. - Provide relief for mill inspectors for breaks/ lunch. - Generate MTR data for customer shipments as required. Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking an Operations Manager for our facility located in Blytheville, Arkansas.  Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Operations Manager will be responsible to supervise, instruct and coordinate daily production activities.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Ensure adherence to safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. - Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through observation and team input. - Notify appropriate management of work injuries, perform incident or accident investigations, and complete appropriate reports. - Drive the quality objectives of the plant by ensuring product meets customer and internal requirements through product and process inspections. - Facilitate and perform equipment set-up or adjustments when required. - Troubleshoot operational and equipment problems to improve quality and efficiency - Facilitate and promote training to meet quality expectations by ensuring all employees are trained to perform their respective jobs including the purpose of the safety features of their specific machine, workstation controls, and tools and equipment - Effectively directs hourly workforce using leadership skills to meet production goals and objectives.   POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for procurement of assigned items and executing buying strategies in accordance with Zekelman Industries Policies and Procedures, agreed upon material buying strategies, and agreed upon material buying plans at the optimum quality, service and total product cost relationship.  Analyzes market and industry conditions and develops supply recommendations. Meets and interviews sales representatives and vendors regarding their respective material areas. Adheres to Zekelman Industries contracts with vendors, recognizing them as primary vendors all buyers will partner with when quality, service and total cost meet Zekelman Industries requirements.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assists in the daily purchasing functions across multiple facilities. - Works directly with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) coordinators in generating and converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders. - Converts auto-reorder purchase requisitions to purchase orders daily. - Daily issuance of miscellaneous purchase orders to suppliers. - Assists in evaluation and selection of critical MRO vendors and performs annual audits on preferred vendors. Adheres to the guidelines for ISO and API certifications when applicable. - Negotiate with external vendors various MRO contracts. - Assists in maintaining storeroom inventories. - Manages the daily office purchasing requirements including all office equipment, office supplies and assist in ongoing cost savings initiatives. - Provides back up to MRO Coordinators in their absence. - Works with accounts payable to resolve invoice issues. - Responsible for special projects as assigned by your Procurement Manager.   REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: - Associates degree with an emphasis in Business, Purchasing or Marketing. - 5+ years of experience in purchasing/MRO. - Computer software application skills. - SAP experience preferred, but not required. - Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff. - Strong interpersonal skills. - Requires the ability to take initiative, work independently and follow through on projects. - CPP and or CPPM Certification a plus.     PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:   This position requires a minimum of an eight (8) hour day five (5) days a week.   Work Environment:  The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  The work is performed in both an office and manufacturing environment which contains dust and material particles in the air.
