Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, and dotted Line to the Supply Chain Director.  This person will be responsible for all Procurement related activities.   RESPONSIBILITIES: - Work directly with Plant Operations to generate and convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders - Issue purchase orders to suppliers - Manage the daily purchasing requirements and assist in ongoing cost savings initiatives - Identify cost of production vs. the originally planned Bill of Materials. - Negotiate with external vendors on small- and large-scale short- and long-term contracts - Evaluate vendors on quality, service, cost and delivery for best value initiatives; perform regular audits on preferred vendors - Work with accounts payable to resolve invoice issues - Daily/Weekly Cycle counts - Other duties as assigned EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: - Minimum of an Associate Degree with emphasis in Business/Purchasing or Marketing preferred, but not required - 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, planning, or similar role in a Manufacturing environment. Z Modular seeks a Health and Safety Manager for our facility in Killeen, TX. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Health and Safety, the Health and Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and directing the facility's Occupational Health and Safety Program while continually striving to support the company's goals to provide a safe and healthy workplace.   Z-Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Fire Safety Inspector for our facility located in Killeen, TX. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, this position work with Engineering to design fire suppression systems to make sure the buildings meet building codes set by the National Fire Protection Agency.   RESPONSIBILITES: - Analysis of fire hazards - Mitigation of fire damage by proper design, construction arrangement, and use of building materials, structures, industrial processes, and transportation systems - The design, installation, and maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems and communication systems - Know the science behind what causes fires. Then, apply this knowledge to the safe design and construction of private and public buildings. In addition to helping to design buildings for safety, aid in the maintenance or inspection of fire prevention systems. - Examining building design plans - Perform hydraulic analysis of sprinkler and other fire safety systems   QUALIFICATIONS: - NICET Level III required plus NICET Level IV. - Proficient in water-based fire protection systems layout, involving the complete layout of sprinkler and standpipe systems, including hydraulic calculations, for a variety of applications, and which include management of water-based system layout projects and/or code compliance. - Minimum of 10 years of full-time involvement with layout of water-based systems, which must include management of multiple layout projects involving multiple work teams, coordination with installers, and responsible interactions with clients, engineers - Previous experience with post-fire investigation and analysis - Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role - Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy PHYSICAL ABILITIES: - Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
