  Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Land Acquisition Manager for our facility located in Kitchener, ON or surrounding areas. Land Acquisition Manager is responsible for identifying, structuring, negotiating and executing real estate transactions with a wide range of property owners and third parties for the development of high density/mixed use projects in the Texas/AZ markets. The role requires real estate transaction and development experience with a focus on local entitlement process. This position requires up to 30% travel and will mainly focus on the Ontario markets. Responsibilities: - Identify, conduct outreach and establish relationships with list of targeted landowners to secure viable land for project sites and easements - Negotiate favorable business terms for a wide variety of transaction documentation including letters of intent, purchase options and essential/workforce housing projects with the local government. - Work with financial consultants on market feasibility and finance options for the project - Perform high level analysis and review of title, zoning, floodplain, easements, permitting fees, entitlement process and other site-specific considerations.   Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries is searching for a Controls Engineer in Kitchener, ON. The Controls Engineer shall be well versed in the field of electrical theory and control systems. Wiring of machines and machining cells, debugging software, executing system shake downs/changes and making backups after testing are the major fields of application. This person should be able to work in teams, as well as independently, report and track status as well as understand the mechanics and functionality of machining systems mostly in the automotive industry. Must have experience of Siemens control systems, PLC’s and Servo controls, and a good understanding of how other systems are integrated and controlled from PLC. This position will perform installation of new HVAC systems for all modular construction projects.   RESPONSIBILITIES: - Complete all HVAC system installations efficiently and accurately within a manufacturing plant environment. - Maintain a clean, organized work cell and participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings, and technical vendor training. - Initiates troubleshooting techniques to solve quality, process and HVAC problems.
