Reporting to the Production Manager, this person will be responsible for scheduling production activities and maintaining inventory to increase production and quality.   RESPONSIBILITIES: - Sets weld maintenance schedules and equipment tolerances to ensure a safe operating environment. - Oversee operation of welding staff, including reporting absence, assisting with corrective action and providing team performance feedback to Production Managers - Address and report safety hazards and concerns, escalating to the department manager when applicable - Welds commonly used metals and alloys of various shapes, sizes, and thicknesses. - Selects welding electrodes for specific welds. - Fabricates or repairs products according to blueprints, layouts, or work orders by welding metal components together. - Possesses a working knowledge of welding materials and equipment. - Estimates material and labor needed and ensures projects are completed according to work orders. - Mentors subordinate team members. - Works in a safe manner - Other duties as instructed by his supervisor   EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate for this role will have a high school diploma, welding certification, and at least five years of previous experience leading a welding team.    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, push and pull. Job Locations US-AZ-Chandler
    Z-Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a Construction Manager (CM) for our location in Z-Modular in Chandler, AZ. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this person will supervise a multitude of direct reports. The CM will coordinate sections of the plant construction floor. These areas include and are not limited to framing, gypsum installation, steel cutting, texturing, ceramic installation, floor installation, MEP installation, and final finish areas of work.  This will then interact with shipping and storage as part of the overall focus. These areas could change as we execute our work from week to week and project to project.   Construction Managers determine the resources required for each aspect of the project, such as equipment or tooling needed, materials, and labor, assessing each of these for budget limitations. They make sure that the equipment and materials are acquired on time and check stock levels regularly to make sure anything that’s running low can be reordered.   RESPONSIBILITIES: - Construction Managers, plan, coordinate, and supervise the construction of commercial projects from start to finish. - Monitor the construction process to ensure the project is completed to schedule. - Assure supply needs are met at each delivery point on line - Assure off-line sequencing is handled in a timely and perfected manner. - Work full-time but may need to work additional hours to respond to delays, emergencies, or suppliers - 95% of time is on the construction site, monitoring team members, work flow, and quality and speed of construction. - Organize team members to build and allocate responsibilities and tasks to them and other staff to ensure the project is completed efficiently. - Prepare detailed reports for key stakeholders that outline the successes as well as any issues that arose throughout the development of the building. - Work safely following workplace safety practices set forth by Z-Modular & OSHA - Review daily operating reports and report operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues and shift events to superiors to prevent operational delays - Troubleshoot operational and tooling problems to improve quality and efficiency - Build and maintain a positive team-oriented environment amongst production personnel - Discipline team members in coordination with plant management and Human Resources - Obtain and/or demonstrate immediate medical treatment for all injuries - Notify appropriate management and enter required events (accidents, injuries, incidents) into Intelex Balancing Skills– Construction managers are skilled at negotiating and directing team members; whether it’s time on-line, supply and preparation off-line, reviewing quality or speed of work flow, or  managing talent within the plant each day.   Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a Plant Project Engineer to oversee the communications and documentation of our modular units.  Reporting to the Director on Construction, Plant Project Engineer is responsible for the coordination of construction submittals and request for information documentation within the modular scope, as well as ensuring frequent progress communication with customers.  The Project Engineer will work with the Plant Project Managers and be assigned tasks set by them as needed. Responsibilities: - Primarily function as data keeper of project specific tasks. Control submittal approvals, RFI management, day to day correspondence. - Assist with material procurement, inventory and confirmation of materials on hand prior to production according to approved submittals. - Assist with, scheduling, budgeting and implementation of the project - Assist with the preparation of the schedule of values - Assist with project planning for approval by management - Assist with the preparation of project schedules with input from project staff and, if required, assistance from the Scheduling Department - Assist with change orders with client, architects and engineers - Complete all required reports - Assist with preparation of all Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, requisitions, proposals, etc. - Attend weekly OAC coordination meetings/calls. - Other duties as assignment by management. The candidate must be skilled with a construction administration system, such as ProCore and BIM 360 to submit and track RFIs and Shop Drawings during the design stage within the Design Department of Z Modular.   The ideal candidate will have an interest in modular construction, automated fabrication systems, parametric design software, and developing alternative approaches to the design and construction industry.
