The primary responsibility of the Buyer is to purchase equipment, materials, supplies, and services as required by the plant. Reporting to the Director of Logistics and Scheduling this individual will provide analytical support for all functions of logistics including carrier management, report creation/distribution, freight payment and auditing, management of freight rates database, inventory reconciliation and other operations as required. Reporting to the Vice President of Field and Services. The General Project Manager is responsible for the constant coordination of construction activities within the modular and site scope and ensuring frequent progress communication to the Vice President of Field Services. This position plans, directs or coordinates all activities concerned with the development, construction, and turnover of Z-Modular acquired and owned projects through supervisory personnel.   RESPONSIBILITIES: - Collaborate with Vice President, Field Services on personnel and project resources. Assign and monitor the same. - Manage and Collaborate with Project Managers, Consultants, Vendors, and Municipalities - Monitor the management, scheduling, design, budgeting, and implementation of current projects. - Monitor Project Management entitlement and permitting processes implementation leading up to break ground dates. - Monitor preparation and implementation of project schedules created by project teams. - Monitor consultant contracts, pre-construction contracts, and vendor agreements.     Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Yard and Inventory Manager for our facilities located in Chandler, AZ, Killeen, TX and Kitchener, ON (apply to this posting and be considered for your specific location). Reporting to the Director of Logistics and Scheduling, this candidate will manage all completed modular inventory that is preparing to be shipped to the designated project location.   RESPONSIBILITIES: - Daily collaboration with plant/production manager on production status and requirements for manpower for resource planning - Create and maintain yard storage strategies for both on and off campus - Collaboration with Logistics team for storage at offsite locations - Updating yard storage map locations of modules physical location - Coordinate with Yard lead hand on manpower requirements and allocation of personal based on shipping and receiving needs - Ensure that all teammates are properly equipped for tasks - Daily inspection on wrap integrity and water intrusion.     Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Product Analyst for our facility located in Chandler, AZ and Kitchener, ON. The Product Analyst will perform various Product-related functions in an organization. This employee plans a budget and ensures Product-effective operations for a project and plant for the company's overall business model. Job duties include using production, warehousing, and financial track information to create a product cost baseline for manufacturing on all models and iterations of models. The focus will be to understand each material and the counts for those specific materials as it is built into the module on a daily basis.     RESPONSIBILITES: - Collect and analyze information to determine Products of business activities such as the use and installation of raw materials, labor use for production, and Product differences contrast between differing modules and facilities production. - Discern different methods for the same installation of materials in modules; it is possible to have 3 different means of material usage within the modules. - Record accurate Product data for prototype base and options. This includes a physical count of each room as it moves from station to station. - Audit existing Product of modules on a daily timely basis. This includes doing a physical count of home as it rolls thru each station. - Assist with physical inventory preparation, implementation, and reconciliation. Includes a physical count of all modules that are in the process of being built inside the manufacturing facility and when needed outside for the rework given current macro-economic conditions. - Make analysis of collected information as well as keep records of findings and results specific to product costs and usage of inventories. - Analyze changes on the methods of production, goods and services provided, and raw materials to know how they affect finished goods Product. - Produce the documentation of data for daily reporting disciplines, operating reviews and quarterly reports. - Identify possible opportunities for improving the efficiency of production with the main aim of increasing efficiencies, effectiveness and growing profits. - Compare material submittal data and labor hour data for specific categories of production with site built of similar categories of construction through RS Means, past plant specific productions, and any other fact data available. - Product analysis of projects: This includes but is not limited to estimated material consumption VS actual material consumption, labor hours, and overhead. - Capture any shortfalls that occur during the life span of projects. This position would report to the Manager of Architecture and Design.  We are looking for someone who is highly detailed-oriented, thorough, and self-motivated. As a Drafter, you will use Revit to produce drawings for a variety of projects. The experience will be challenging yet rewarding as you shape the future of design and construction. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Produce design and construction documents in Revit. - Produce shop drawings for fabrication and construction. - Produce plans, sections, elevations, and details to convey architectural design and construction information. - Gain an understanding of building systems, codes, and construction methods. - Promote a collaborative team atmosphere. - Work under the direction of the internal architects and engineers. - Convert CAD drawings/equipment layouts into Revit. - Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor. - Produce schedules and bill of materials. This person will be responsible for oversight of site related activities as well as coordination with the general contractor and site subcontractors.The Mateline Superintendent will report to the Site Superintendent.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Observe, advise and coordinate modular construction projects at a Z Modular production facility and follow project to site.  - Direct and oversee all modular site related activities source, qualify and engage material vendors to deliver projects on time and under budget. - Work closely with project manager, production manager and general contractor to ensure project is completed to specifications and QA/QC standards. - Provide feedback to project manager regarding any changes, concerns, and updates throughout the project. - Review the work progress on a daily basis and provide daily reports - Maintain completion schedules.  Alter and expedite as needed to turn modules over as required. - Analyze and manage emerging problems to manage and mitigate risks. - This position will require travel up to 85% of the time as particular projects require. - Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role - Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy     REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:   - Minimum of 10+ years in commercial construction - Modular industry experience preferred - Ability to properly manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. - Clear verbal and written communication skills to demonstrate and convey a thorough understanding of the entire development process. - Possess verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with clients, contractors and plant personnel. - Strong leadership and follow-up skills, with a “hands on” approach to completing all projects in a timely and efficient manner. - Team management experience.  This position requires detailed know how of finishes and the ability to delegate quick completion of interiors to punch out team. - Possess extensive knowledge of construction codes and processes - Driving is an essential function of the position.    Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low cost, high quality medical and dental benefits.  In addition, we have an amazing tuition assistance program, a bonus plan, a 401(k) plan with a generous company match, immediate vesting and much more.
