Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking an Operations Manager for our facility located in Blytheville, Arkansas.  Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Operations Manager will be responsible to supervise, instruct and coordinate daily production activities.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Ensure adherence to safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. - Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through observation and team input. - Notify appropriate management of work injuries, perform incident or accident investigations, and complete appropriate reports. - Drive the quality objectives of the plant by ensuring product meets customer and internal requirements through product and process inspections. - Facilitate and perform equipment set-up or adjustments when required. - Troubleshoot operational and equipment problems to improve quality and efficiency - Facilitate and promote training to meet quality expectations by ensuring all employees are trained to perform their respective jobs including the purpose of the safety features of their specific machine, workstation controls, and tools and equipment - Effectively directs hourly workforce using leadership skills to meet production goals and objectives. Issues discipline as required. - Responsible for daily staffing requirements including reassignments, transfers or mandatory over requirements as needed. - Review daily operational reports to communicate operational, manufacturing, maintenance issues and shift events to management team to prevent operational delays - Performs payroll and production system computer functions. - Participate in continuous improvement and yield projects. - Perform other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: - Minimum of five years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment - A strong team player is necessary with the ability to coordinate efforts of many individuals internal and external to the organization - Sound decision-making ability, computational, and analytical skills - Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) - Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite - Supervisory experience required - Willingness to become First aid and CPR first responder trained. - Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role. - Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy. JOB SUMMARY: Master Electrician is responsible for the safe maintenance and repair of production equipment to maximize quality, up time, rate and yield. Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Electrical Engineer – Controls Specialist for our facility located in Blytheville, AR, Reporting to the VP of Engineering. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who have industrial maintenance and troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing/light industrial setting.     RESPONSIBILITIES: - Promote and enforce a safe, healthy work environment and work practices in accordance with ESA, MOL, and Company safety policies and procedures such as LOTO & Arc Flash. - Monitor plant systems, analyze performance, and initiate action for optimization to achieve Plant goals. - Perform cutom PLC & Drive programming for Allen Bradley, SAF, and Rexroth Components. - Diagnose and communicate root causes of electrical malfunctions and develop corrective actions. - Understand and troubleshoot machine network infrastructure and PLC systems. - Work with medium and low voltage (480-24 Volts) equipment, power distribution systems, instrumentation systems, and equipment controls. - Display a positive attitude towards your work and maintain professional, positive working relationships with others. - Work closely with Management and Operators on projects as needed. - Read, understand, and complete work orders and other paperwork related to your duties. - Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. - Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. - Train and mentor employees. - Other related duties as assigned.   QUALIFICATIONS: - Must be able to work an off-shift (afternoon or night) as required by business needs. - Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy. - Degree, Diploma, or documented training in an electrical field from accredited college, trade school or equivalent experience required. - Minimum 5 years direct work experience in electrical maintenance in a manufacturing plant, including PLC, VFD’s, DC Drives, and induction heating units preferred. - Experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley programmable Logic Controllers and HMI devices preferred. Prior experience with ladder logic and editing is a plus. - Prior tube and/or heavy manufacturing experience preferred.   PHYSICAL ABILITIES: - Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Requires high aptitude in regards electrical ability, troubleshooting and problem solving skills in regard to equipment operation, process conditions in order to diagnose and resolve electrical issues. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Ensure equipment is maintained electrically following all of the defined safety procedures and that everyone working on the equipment is following these procedures, including LOTO.  Ensure that all guards and safety equipment is in place and operational before turning the equipment over to the operator. - Responsible to monitor, inspect and complete reports on equipment using manual and computerized maintenance management systems. - Read and interpret information and specifications from blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings in order to repair equipment, machinery, physical structures and systems. - Ability to properly use required hand tools, power tools, hoists cranes, measuring devices and testing equipment. - Initiates troubleshooting techniques to solve quality, process and electrical problems.  Must be able to properly identify problem areas with consistency and reliability, if unsuccessful in making repairs, must notify supervisor for assistance. - Perform all required electrical tasks associated with breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance and changeovers on production equipment. - Responsible to insure housekeeping is in audit ready condition after the electrical task is completed. - Provides guidance to co-workers. - Report any safety, quality, operational or output issues that you cannot correct to your supervisor. - Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.   REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: - High school diploma or equivalent - Ability to communicate in English, use measuring and testing devices, hand and power tools and basic math calculations - Mechanical aptitude necessary for fulfillment of job requirements - Must be able to interface with computers and efficient at problem solving - Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role - Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy
