JOB SUMMARY Under limited supervision, performs various welding duties throughout the plant.   JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy. - Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. - Operates safety equipment and use safe work habits. - Lays out, positions, aligns, and secures parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers. - Examines workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications. - Welds separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys. - Clamps, holds, tack-welds, heat-bends, grinds, or bolts component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding. - Ignites torches or starts power supplies and strike arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded, completing electrical circuits. - Determines required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques. - Monitors the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material. - Operates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, shielded metal arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding. - Analyzes more complex engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations. - Marks or tags material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required. - Removes rough spots from workpieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers. - Develops templates and models for welding projects, using mathematical calculations based on blueprint information. - Positions and secures workpieces, using hoists, cranes, wire, and banding machines or hand tools. - Operates metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines, such as brakes and shears. - Sets up and uses ladders and scaffolding as necessary to complete work. - Uses fire suppression methods in industrial emergencies. - Estimates materials needed for production and manufacturing and maintains required stocks of materials. - Performs daily crane/mobile equipment inspections. - Regular, full-time predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of this role. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE - Highschool Diploma / GED - Legally eligible to work in the United States  - 2-3 year manufacturing experience KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES - Ability to follow and implement safety and quality control programs - Ability to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina. - Ability to remain in a stationary position for several hours - Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull - Ability to lift 60lbs. - Ability to stand for 10-12 hours - Ability to perform work in a plant/manufacturing environment - Other physical requirements as needed for job

Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Production Manager for our location in Killeen, TX. This position will supervise the shift production crew and coordinate with multiple departments to meet production goals.   RESPONSIBILITIES:  - Oversee and manage all production processes and activities on the plant floor, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. - Supervise and guide Construction Managers responsible for managing multiple departments, team leads, and general labor across multiple shifts. - Provide technical expertise and training to all areas. - With the advice and consent of the Plant General Manager, develop and implement production schedules based on business objectives and budget planning, ensuring timely delivery of products while optimizing resource utilization. - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics, such as daily operating reports and Power BI, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. - Utilize analytical skills to analyze production data, identify trends, and develop strategies for enhancing productivity and reducing costs. - Monitor and report operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues and shift events to leads to prevent operational delays. - Maintain a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment, recommending improvements or upgrades as necessary. - Collaborate with other departments, such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Customer Completion, and Field Services, to streamline processes and resolve production-related issues. - Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and procedures related to production operations. - Monitor staff assignments and performance across all shifts, providing timely feedback and guidance to Construction Managers, team leads, and general labor. - Analyze performance data and trends to identify training needs and opportunities for staff development. - Collaborate with plant management and HR to develop strategies for staff improvement and corrective action, based on performance evaluations and data-driven recommendations. - Implement performance improvement plans as necessary, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. - Provide regular reports and updates to plant management and HR on staff performance, highlighting achievements and areas requiring attention or intervention. - Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement among production staff, promoting engagement and motivation through effective leadership and communication. - Collaborate with the Safety Manager to facilitate medical treatment for injuries, ensuring prompt and appropriate care for affected personnel. - Notify management of all accidents, injuries, and incidents, promptly initiating investigation and follow-up procedures as necessary. - Ensure thorough documentation of incidents in EHS Insight, our safety application platform, to track and analyze trends for continuous improvement in safety protocols and procedures. - Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role. - Other duties as assigned EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: - University degree, Technical Diploma, or equivalent experience in the construction industry required - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or construction facility - Exceptional organizational and analytical skills including the ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of manufacturing and construction processes - Detailed knowledge of the relationship between work centers and how variables at each work center affect other areas - Proficient in software applications for data analysis and reporting, such as Excel, ERP systems, and manufacturing execution systems (MES) as well as Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and others - Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong emotional intelligence skills, including empathy, self-awareness, and the ability to effectively navigate and resolve interpersonal conflicts in a high-pressure manufacturing environment - Superb leadership skills with a proven track record of effectively leading and motivating teams to achieve production targets, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives, resulting in increased efficiency, quality, and employee satisfaction 

JOB SUMMARY Acts as a user / client / site construction managers / manufacturer point of contact. Oversees timing, materials supply levels, punch lists, and completions, on a plant and site levels Coordinates inventory and materials documentation within the modular scope to ensure timely completion at plant level. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - - Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy. - Works with Customer Completion Specialists (CCS), data keepers, reviewers, and inspectors of multiple project-specific interface tasks to track project progress from manufacturing to apartments at site. Monitors inspection of the galvanization process, including all stages from start to finish to ensure seamless  process stages flow - Assesses design and manufacturing work issues for “one touch” flow of work, identifies areas for upgrades for "in-plant" manufacturing through potential "on-site" repair over time. Oversees new product prototyping by conducting a joint review by plant and product teams to ensure the final "plant and site" punch lists are well-matched and -coordinated’ expedites resolution of proper change management for best quality and compliance with financial parameters according to the “User” Customer and Owner. Documents material needs to avoid potential shortages; identifies 'ready to ship' modules. - Compiles and distributes punch lists of acceptable 'ready to ship' modules versus modules that may not be ready due to material shortages, workflow, or incomplete installation. Monitor punch list items completion for Final User.  - Participates and leads process and product improvement meetings to connect process points to quantify / qualify total costs to discuss and present to Controllers. - Assists with project planning for approval by management to ensure production synergy across sites and plants. - Immense communication and collaboration with the plants, operators, and sites regarding the status of modules shipping on a project-to-project basis. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Construction Manager will supervise a multitude of direct reports. The CM will coordinate sections of the plant construction floor. These areas include and are not limited to framing, gypsum installation, steel cutting, texturing, ceramic installation, floor installation, MEP installation, and final finish areas of work.  This will then interact with shipping and storage as part of the overall focus. These areas could change as we execute our work from week to week and project to project.
