Reporting to the Weld Construction Manager, this person will be responsible for scheduling production activities and maintaining inventory to increase production and quality.   RESPONSIBILITIES: - Sets weld maintenance schedules and equipment tolerances to ensure a safe operating environment. - Oversee operation of welding staff, including reporting absence, assisting with corrective action and providing team performance feedback to Production Managers - Always works in a safe manner, leads by example, will address and report safety hazards and concerns, escalating to the department manager when applicable. - Possesses above average welding skills in FCAW, in all positions. - Selects proper consumables for type of welding processes used. - Fabricates or repairs products according to blueprints, layouts, or work orders by welding metal components together. Must possess excellent blueprint reading and weld symbol interpretation skills. - Possesses a working knowledge of welding materials and equipment. - Estimates material and labor needed and ensures projects are completed according to work orders. - Mentors subordinate team members, fostering a positive working environment.     Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a SiteCustomer Completion Finishing Specialist to oversee the punch list and site finishing documentation of our modular units.  Reporting to the CCS Manager, the Site Customer Completion Finishing Specialist is responsible for the coordination and streamline of inventory and materials documentation within the modular scope between the site team, and the plant CCS.  Add to this, the CCFS will participate at the Housing sites to understand what design and manufacturing work is effectively enduring use, as well as areas that need upgrading for in plant manufacturing and possibly on-site repair over time   Responsibilities: - Primarily function as data keeper, reviewer, and inspector of multiple project specific interface tasks by plant, by product, and by housing site. - Constant collaboration with Plant CCS personnel - Assist in control timing, shipping, or supply materials per building, per plant, per site, with organization of supply teams in all areas. - Act as user/client/manufacturer point of contact as needed. This role will provide direct line of site of the interface of work with timing, between materials needs, punch lists, and completions, by site and all plants. - Document material needs to trends of potential shortages by identifying the same in ‘ready to ship’ modules. - Compile and distribute punchlists of acceptable ‘ready to ship’ modules versus modules that may not be ready due to material shortages, workflow, or incomplete installation. - Travel of up to 30% is required. - Assist with project planning for approval by management. This ties directly to all sites, and all plants for systematic production and a consistency of those values plant by plant, and site by site. - Immense communication and collaboration with plant and site on status of modules that are shipping on a project to project basis. - This position may be traditionally referred to as a ‘close out’ superintendent. In our fast paced modular environment, this occurs in our manufacturing plants. - Complete and analyze all required reports - Other duties as assignment by management Job Requirements: - 3 years of experience in the construction industry preferred - High school diploma, GED or equivalent required - College Certificate or diploma in a discipline related to construction preferred - Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office - This role is primary from our construction sites.
