This person will work with other Quality Inspectors and the Quality Manager to ensure execution and maintenance of a consistent quality system.   RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform inspection on various construction functions to ensure compliance with established quality standards - Develop good working relationships with production team members to help foster a positive team environment - Supports the Quality Manager in developing policies, procedures and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations. - Assists in developing, assuring and maintaining the quality of products and processes, including standard procedures, quality audits/review, process engineering, etc. - Execute daily conformance to existing quality system and review continuous improvement. - Participates in continuous improvement activities. - Tracks and resolves quality issues and works with peers to support vendor evaluation programs. - Responsible for special projects as assigned. - Various other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or other designated leadership members - Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role   EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: - 1-2 years’ experience working in quality assurance - Experience working with residential and commercial construction. - Knowledge of building code an asset - Strong attention to detail is required - Knowledge of production policies, procedures, and safety measures. - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Able to read technical drawings - Able to read a tape measure     PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, push and pull. This position will perform installation of new HVAC systems for all modular construction projects.   RESPONSIBILITIES: - Complete all HVAC system installations efficiently and accurately within a manufacturing plant environment. - Maintain a clean, organized work cell and participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings, and technical vendor training. - Initiates troubleshooting techniques to solve quality, process and HVAC problems. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this individual will be required to communicate frequently and effectively with production, purchasing, stockroom, and leadership teams.   Responsibilities: - Receive materials into the ERP system (inbound deliveries) - Issue materials from inventory to production/projects in ERP system - Assign inventory location descriptions in ERP system to various materials - Perform various inventory data entry transactions as required - Print labels for inventory items - Assist in analyzing consumption rates of materials, and setting reorder points in ERP system - Work with Purchasing team members to fix any PO discrepancies in order to receive materials properly into the ERP system - Generate various reports required by Purchasing/Warehouse/Materials teams in excel - Assist in ongoing and periodic maintenance of material master data to ensure data quality and accuracy - Assist in defining and implementing Master Data processes and SOPs to ensure data quality and accuracy - Raise issues and risks to appropriate team members relating to Master Data and potential adverse impacts to the business - Assist with creating purchase requisitions for production consumables and supplies when inventory quantities are reduced below requirements - Perform periodic cycle counts on selected materials to ensure inventory levels are accurate and to validate that consumption SOP’s are being followed - Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role Qualifications: - High school diploma required - Postsecondary education in supply chain management or equivalent experience is an asset - Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel - General understanding of ERP systems & their effect on business - Knowledge of SAP is desirable - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment - Strong written and oral communication skills - Strong analytical skills - Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy Physical Abilities: - Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
